I'm doing a series of videos to show where we are now and where you can be if you come visit us!
This is a townhouse apartment on three levels. Yes, we do miss the elevator from our previous house in Charlotte. There are four bedrooms and four full bathrooms! So great for guests!
We really do want our friends and family to come visit. Consider this an invitation.
First, here's a picture that shows where the apartment we moved from is and where the current one is. The previous apartment is in the red circle at the top. The new one is in the other red circle.
This map zooms in to show the proximity to the "Old Town". Aparment in red circle. To the left, near the water, there is an area that looks sort of egg-shaped. That's the Old Town, mostly enclosed by a wall.
This last map doesn't show a lot, but is a zoomed-in view. There's a big park, denoted by a green check mark, called Jardim da Alameda João de Deus. "A tranquil park with a small pond, waterfall, café, and playground, often called the "Peacock Park" by locals."
Yes. Peacocks live there. When Scott took the dogs over there, he quickly found out that dogs are not allowed on the grass.
